Scottsdale, Ariz. June 11,2021 — CNA National has recruited a new vice president of marketing, Joel Zimmerman.

A results-oriented leader, Zimmerman has spent his career with multiple vehicle manufacturers, including Fiat Chrysler, Subaru and Volkswagen. He worked closely with dealerships for these brands in the areas of customer service, market representation, retail location identification and more. During a14-year stint with Subaru, Zimmerman increased market share by nearly two percent and doubled vehicle sales over a three-year period within the Southwestern U.S.; pioneered a program to help stores share best practices for advertising, marketing and e-commerce; and developed a curriculum for product training. In addition, he was a lead strategist for the team that launched Jeep’s Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.

“Adding someone of Joel’s caliber allows us to increase the bench strength of our already highly adept and experienced team,” said Jeff Weston, chief revenue officer for CNAN. “We are confident his automotive background and marketing prowess will help us bring even greater value to our agents, dealers and staff.”

In his new role, Zimmerman will be responsible for setting the direction of CNA National’s marketing efforts across product lines in order to advance the company’s objectives. He will oversee the national and regional marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive performance, as well as provide leadership for the company’s marketing initiatives and campaigns.

“Joining this nationally renowned F&I provider is an exciting new challenge in my career,” said Zimmerman. “I look forward to learning more about the industry and making a significant impact at CNA National.”

Zimmerman earned his MBA from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in English from University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
